Meant For Communion

Have you ever had one of those days, thoughts and ideas are flying at you a thousand miles a minute? Just as one thought is taking it’s place and making itself known, another one is coming at you at lightning speed! It’s hard to keep up with them all and leaves you feeling a little dizzy, like you just got off the teacup ride at Disneyland. Honestly, at times, I look up to the sky, pleading, “God, please slow down! This is too much at once! I need time to process all of this!

Well, I had one of those days today. God showed me a truth, and just as I was processing it and sharing it on social media….BOOM! “Here’s another one for you!” And while I was still pondering this one, and sharing it on social media, “How about this one?” All day long, even through the church service! While I was thankful for Him enlightening me with these truths, at the same time my head was screaming, “Why today? Why me?” To which God answered, “What better day? Why not you? This is what I created you for!

So, the BIG question, what was I created for? I, just like us all, was created to be in communion with, and in a deep loving relationship with God.

COMMUNION: The sharing or exchanging of intimate thoughts and feelings.

We were created to be in communion with God. We were created to TALK and COMMUNICATE with Him. We were created to share Him and take Him out into the world. We can’t share Him unless we are in communion with Him. And we won’t bring anyone into His Kingdom unless we share Him.

So, I have learned that on those days like today where I feel like my head is being flooded with too much of Him, what it really means is that I haven’t given enough of myself to Him. I need to take a time out and give my time to Him. Go for a long walk…with Him. Sit down and take a break…with Him. Open my Bible and read…with Him.

Me, you, your daughter, the old lady across the street, the haggard mother at Wal-Mart…yes, we were all meant for communion.
